Ukash, the international online cash payment solution, announced
today the appointment of a new marketing director, Paul Coxhill,
following a major investment deal
with South African Blue Label Telecoms last month.
With 13 years experience in international and UK retail banking,
Coxhill will oversee the Ukash
marketing team and further establish the company as the global
market leader in the alternative
payments industry.
Prior to joining Ukash, Coxhill held a range of senior marketing
positions at Barclays for 10 years
before joining ASBA in South Africa where he led the marketing
synergy programme during the
merger of the two banks.
UkashTM online "cash" transactions have grown at a
rate of 257 per cent in the last two years, and
to capitalise on this growth, the company will conduct global
marketing campaigns including
research to measure cultural attitudes towards personal finance,
debt and identity fraud.
Mark Chirnside, CEO of Ukash said: "The alternative payments
industry is experiencing strong
growth, and we believe the expertise Paul will bring to the table
along with the recent investment
deal with Blue Label Telecoms will accelerate Ukash's growth as
the leading cash payment
solution in the market."
Ukash vouchers are issued across the United Kingdom, Europe and
Africa through payment
terminals in retail outlets and direct to mobile, and can be
redeemed on hundreds of lifestyle,
shopping, Voice over IP, social networking, virtual worlds and
gaming websites.
